I cared about my students, perhaps to a fault. I believed the experiences I created for them mattered, and I wanted to give them the very best I could. I was never comfortable simply getting by. I didn’t want to repeat the same lesson year after year simply because it made planning easier. If I could make something better, more meaningful, or more engaging, then I felt I should.
